La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc Husky Race
From 9th to 13th January 2010 the most fabulous sleddog race
Now in its fifth year, the Grand Odyssey Savoie Mont Blanc was the dream of adventurer Nicolas Vanier.
His passion to see a race across our snowy peaks marked a significant departure from the long-held tradition of racing huskies across frozen flatlands.
The race attracts 25 of the world's finest racers from all corners of the world who, along with their dogs, compete against each other over 10 days.
The first race takes place in the Portes du Soleil. With start and finish points in the centre of many resorts, cross-border sorties over the Col de Cou pass between France and Switzerland, plus camping Frozen North style, the Portes du Soleil is the place to experience the extraordinary adventure of this unique event...
