    1964, for the National Exhibition in Lausanne, a handful of visionary men imagined the first cross-border ski area. France and Switzerland joined forces to create the Portes du Soleil ski area.

    The Portes du Soleil was born of the strength of those who wanted to make the mountains accessible to everyone, according to their dreams.
